Meet the team
We are a team of dedicated professionals, ready to do what ever it takes to make your business grow
Jim is the design and programming guru behind the Argus Company. He also is the captain of the Argus Shops, a division of online retail stores. With a background in graphic design, Jim designed books before branching into web design in the 1990s. He was a lead designer at Ligature Inc. and then design director of Piper Studios Inc. in Chicago before joining and eventually taking the helm at Argus. When he’s not behind a computer, you might find Jim drag racing with his family at tracks around the Midwest.
Laurie is the yang to Jim’s yin. A newspaper reporter by training, she taught English to orphans in Mexico and managed numerous projects for educational publishers in Chicago before teaming up with Jim on the Argus Co. She is a master content writer, editor, and team leader. She loves working with small businesses to craft websites that exceed their expectations and help their companies grow. Her other passions include cooking, spending quality time with her children, reading, and traveling the world. Together, Jim and Laurie make a crack visual/verbal team.
